What is your A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E?

This picturesque_figurative lesson came from my boss, Mr S.M (the sage of India):
It is a motivational double-dose!
He raises a poser;

WHEN PASSING THROUGH LIFE,S-PROBLEMS:WHAT IS YOUR ATTITUDE??

While facing challenges in life ….

Look around...

Consider all options...

Then GO for it!

You've gotta stick your neck out!

Be creative! Use all your skills and positive attitude!

In the end, you will succeed and prove everyone wrong!

"Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference !!
The only disability in life is a bad attitude. "

THE CHARACTER IN THIS STORY IS THE SNAIL (COMPARE THE TORTOISE) BOTH KNOWN FOR THEIR LEGENDARY "SPEED"................PLEASE WAIT....... PICTURES.....

REMEMBER, A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E IS 100%

Enjoy your day!

39 - CHRISTIAN WAYS TO BEAT STRESS.....

1. Pray

2. Go to bed on time.

3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.

4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.

5. Delegate tasks to capable others.

6. Simplify and un-clutter your life.

7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)

8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.

9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.

10. Take one day at a time.

11. Separate worries from concerns. If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety. If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.

12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.

13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.

14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.

15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.

16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.(U can upload the Holy Bible into your mobile phone)

17. Get enough rest.

18. Eat right.

19. Get organized so everything has its place.

20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.

21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.

22. Every day, find time to be alone.

23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.

24. Make friends with Godly people.

25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.

26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good "Thank you Jesus."

27. Laugh a little.

28. Laugh some more!!

29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.

30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).

31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).

32. Sit on your ego.

33. Talk less; listen more.

34. Slow down.

35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.

36 . Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.
37. Preach the Gospel;show the Love of Jesus to everyone - as your lifestyle.

38. Get a pet or pets .Love them and take care of them.(observe their nature of total bliss.)

39. Spend time with nature.Talk long walks in the woods (IF YOU DO THIS OFTEN ENOUGH,IN A PLANNED AND PREDICTABLE MANNER,YOU WILL FIND GOD!?)

FEAR NOT. "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31)

An Angel says, "Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain.
Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice."

Be Businesslike!

Treat your business...like a business!
If you purchased a franchise, would you expect it to make money for you if you only worked it a few hours a week? Or if you didn't get trained? Or if you only tried for a few months? Or if you didn't follow the proven guidelines of the creators of the franchise?

Of course not! That's ridiculous. SFI is no different. Success requires commitment.

http://www.sfi4.com/10363496/FREE

I am continually amazed at how many people think that money will somehow magically fall from the sky without work, without plans, or without an earnest commitment. All these elements (and others you'll read about in the following rules) MUST be present.

The fact is, anything worthwhile in life requires effort and commitment. If that were not true, we'd all be the perfect weight, we'd all have perfect relationships, and we'd all be highly educated. It's the same thing with having your own business.

In short, treat your SFI business as a serious, full-time business, put in the effort and commit to its success and it will become one.
"Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes; but no plans."
-Peter F. Drucker

"You need to make a commitment, and once you make it, then life will give you some answers."
-Les Brown

"There's no scarcity of opportunity to make a living at what you love. There is only a scarcity of resolve to make it happen."
-Wayne Dyer

"There are only two options regarding commitment. You're either in or out. There's no such thing as a life in-between."
-Pat Riley

SUCCESS SECRETLEAD BY EXAMPLE!

LEAD BY EXAMPLE
If you want your followership to grow,in quality and in numbers, then make sure YOU are are doing these things. Do these things and become proficient in these things so you can show and teach your followers the best ways to do them: IF YOU ARE BUILDING A NETWORK OR TEAM OF PEOPLE ,COMBINIG TO PERFORM A TASK:

In the key area of duplication, your downlines are definitely watching! Show them what it means to be a strong, active sponsor and THEY will become strong, active sponsors/recruiters(even Soul-Winners!)and help you further your growth and profits.

Leading by example works in the negative, too, of course. Want a downline of affiliates who do nothing? Then do nothing (or appear to be doing nothing) and that's what you'll probably get!

This rule is VERY simple: Whatever you want THEM to do, YOU do...because they are following your lead!

Tip: Being a Head of a Network and having a set goal to achieve are two great ways to lead by example. MAKE SURE you are sending everyone in your group the right messages!Give Motivation to your people.

"A leader can shape his followers best by showing them the way forward rather than telling them about it." Unknown

"A leader is someone who is ahead of the pack. Even if it is only by one inch. They are doing, or have done, what they want or expect others to do. They are not watchers nor do they wait around. They take action...proper action....a lot of proper action! And they never give up!" Jack M. Zufelt

"You don't lead by lip service, you lead by example.? Jim Leyland

Build your network; link it to other network, harness the Power of Networks: Go and sell for profit!

Tribute to Ralph Alabi (II)

Engr.(Chief)Rapheal Adeola Alabi,(a.k.a RAA)M.O.N,The Aruwajoye of Akure, would have clocked 70years today were he to still be alive;this tribute, given as promised on his posthumus birthday is in his honour.

I entered into the services of Chief Adeola Alabi in November 1994 as his Executive Assistant when he was just promoted MD/CEO, Guiness Nigeria.

Now that was more than 15 years ago and I worked closely with RAA for only 15 Months.
So,i will sort of reminiscence and in so doing try to bring out what i was able to learn from the life of this Great Man:

1.RAA WAS AN EARLY BIRD
Chief Adeola Alabi (I can tell you that he hated that name 'Ralph'because he felt it symbolises his neo-colonised status)was an early riser (I dont know when he wakes, but he beats everybody to the office, sometimes ,by as much as 90 minutes!)So, RAA will resume work at sometime between 6.30am and 7am. This he did for 40years!!
I know it used to be a nightmare for his drivers to be positioned behind the wheels, ready to drive him to Guiness Nigeria HQ.by the time he comes down from his bedroom at 6.00am.(That man will not last long as his driver,if he had to wait for him to 'resume'work for more than a few times!)

2. RAA WAS A 'FIRST IN LAST OUT' EXECUTIVE

Early to bed, early to rise was not a maxim operated by RAA. He worked till very late in the office, sometimes till well past 8pm (on days when he had no oustide late evening appointments). His office and personal staff necessarily worked late with him.In fact he was fond of saying jokingly "go and see the daylight of your home" to his staff whenever they are lucky enough to be sent home early(maybe about 6 something or 7pm!)

3.RAA WAS A WORKAHOLIC
We "Opened Shop" at approximately 7am - a clear one hour before people bagan to arrive work in the busy GNPLC HQ. Located in Ikeja Lagos. This is after RAAmust have finished talking to London;both to GBW (Guiness Brewing Worldwide) and to his family (as at 1995,four of his children lived in his house in London).Every minute of the rest of the day from shop opening to 'Shop Closing' circa 7pm,is planned with little flexibility(something that made my job a pain in those days ,what with liscentious Nigerian public!)RAA THOUGHT ME,COMING THEN FROM THE TYPICALLY CHAOTIC TECHNICAL DIVISION,THE USE OF THE DIARY,AN OFFICE NOTEBOOK(JOB/TASKS LOGS),AND AN ELECTRONIC ORGANIZER!Now we had no GSM in those days...it sure would have helped.

4. I LEARNT ATTENTION TO DETAIL

For a Chief Executive,RAA,paid so great an attention to details, that i learnt that little things matter. He would not suffer you to mispell anyone's name in a memo or letter;or even to mispronounce it to him!In fact he used to say something like 'if anything can go wrong, chances are,it will!'We had a manager for every activity -especially,the parties! Before long i began to bring this inbibed culture into the planning of my business and socials,at home...today, i an certain i exasperate my kids with my tardiness.

5. RAA WAS A CHEERFUL GIVER

Working for RAA,as the EA or PA,You can be sure of a contant stream of weekend activities, mostly socials! There is always a card & gift to deliver to someone.Rhoda George(Mrs),his Kenyan born PA,was kept very busy runing to and from MATE SUPERMARKET buying gifts. Representation were too numerous to count.I remember a day in 1995 when i had to represent RAA at a wedding in far away Benin City,Edo State of Nigeria, as well as a birthday in Sango Ota in Ogun State.Somehow,i made it and stayed alive!

6.RAA WAS A PERFECTIONIST

I remember finding myself in the private study of RAA in his 3,Remi Fannikayode,GRA Ikeja residence.I was surprised to see that the room was so small, obviously an improvision, and it ws cluttered with books and diaries!
But the real item of intrest was a small tape recorder(?) RAA then explained to me that he used the machine to record his speeches rehearsals, which he then plays back for corrections.(At about this time also,he requested me to get him a dictaphone for
use in the car)He demostrated this streak for perfection when, shortly before the first launching of Satzenbrau in Nigeria at the Lagos Sheraton Hotel,he gathered the company's directors in the board-room and insisted they all get the pronounciation of the word 'satzenbrau'right, stressing that it must be pronounced sameway by all who had speeches to present that day.
Can i even copmplain of the many times i go back and forth, his office with yet one more 'final' correction on a letter, a speech ,or some other report?

7.RAA WAS A FAMILY MAN,A RELIGIOUS MAN,AND MORE....
RAA had a large heart,a large family and a big home; Many people were there, extended family and all.He was a father of many, but,to my best knowlegde,a husband of one(Mrs Yemisi Alabi)I have often wondered how he coped. There were also the grey areas, the mystererios relationships, the early morning calls (calls which probably could not be taken at home?)There were schooling matters attended to on his behalf that aroused my suspicions that he sired children out of wedlock. Then came the day i represented him at the 10th anniversary of a school - and the proprietess confided in me with a proud but secretive smile that RAA was her Dad!?

Sometimes ,I wonder why,on each birthday, whenever RAA had a document to sign and date,he would inadvertently write 14:04:39!This also happened whenever he had to fill in personal data in a form or other documents......i wonder, would RAA really have been 70 or 72 were he to still be alive today? The answer is confined to the enigma of 'official age'

In the last 10 years of RAA'S life, we made no contact at all;but I was delighted to learn from my namesake Mr Taiwo Obe's article in the Guardian published shortly after his death, the he died a Pastor! I will give a lot to assess the contents of the three (3) blue books of his 'messages'.

RAA did not leave anything to 'chances' he made things happen...but i feel quite sure he strove lawfully. For example, back in 1994 there were people who sought to influence him,to gain business advantage and came to me to search out his name from several membership lists of secret societies,to the Glory Of God,we could not find his name on any such list!I thank God for this.He had to make the rounds of many churches for 'Thanksgiving' after his promotion to CEO Postion in GNPLC.Not to talk of the 'church in his house'the prophetic ministry from his home town Akure, which held monthly night vigils at his official residence when he was MD 1994/96.
One of the most impactful words he left imprinted on my mind was taken from his message to the entire workforce of Guiness Nigeria, during the Christmas of 1994,shortly ater his assumption of office:"Be The Driver Of Your Own DESTINY"

I struggled with this doctrine for quite a while then, compare Heb 12:2, for I was looking on to Jesus 'the author and finisher of my faith...' Now I have learnt, additionally, to 'work out my salvation;with fear and trembling' NOT TO DO ONE AND NEGLECT THE OTHER.

I SUGGEST THAT YOU DO LIKEWISE.RAA WAS AN ACHIEVER,RAA WAS SUCCESFULL,YOU TOO CAN SUCCEED.

Adieu Chief(Engr)Rapheal Adeola Alabi,M.O.N,MNSE!Adieu RAA!!Rest In Peace!!!

LIVE YOUR OWN LIFE!

"There is a sacred calling on your life, and the question is:Will you spend your life flittering and fluttering about,or take the time and really heed that call and create your own path to your highest good?.......You cannot let other people define your life for you.You are the author of your own life.... - OPRAH WINFREY

The story is told of an American businessman whom was at the pier of a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked.Inside the small boat were several large yellowfin tuna. The American complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them.

The Mexican replied,"Only a little while."

The American then asked why he didnt stay out longer to catch more fish.

The Mexican said he had enough to support his family's immediate need.

The American asked,"But what do you do with the rest of your day?"

The fisherman replied,"I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take a siesta with my wife,Maria, stroll into the village each evening, where i sip wine and play the guitar with my amigos.I have a full and busy life,Senor."

The American scoffed,"I am an Havard M.B.A. and could help you.You should spend more time fishing and, with the proceeds buy a bigger boat, you could buy several boats.Eventually, you would have a fleet of fishing boats.Instead of selling your catch to a middleman, you would sell directly to the processor, eventually owning your own cannery. You would control the product, processing and distribution.

You would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then Los Angeles and eventually New York, where you would run your expanding enterprise."

The Mexican fisherman asked,"But Senor, how long wil all of this take?"

The American replied,"Probably fifteen to twenty years."
"But what then ,Senor?"

The American laughed and said,"That's the best part. When the time was right, you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich. You would make millions!"

"Millions,Senor?Then what?"

The American said,"Then you would retire.Move to a small fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siesta with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings ,where you could sip wine and play guitar with your amigos."

Get the morals of this story:LIVE THE LIFE YOUR CREATOR GAVE YOU;BEGINING NOW!

To your covenant success.
